Curriculum
Rooks Heath’s Sixth Form offers a wide range of A Level, BTEC National and WJEC Applied Diploma courses. Furthermore, it is part of the Harrow Sixth form Collegiate which further widens the range of courses students are able to study whilst attending Rooks Heath.
For our A level courses, students are expected to achieve at least 6 grade 5s or above including both level 5 or above in English Language and Mathematics. Additional subject requirements are listed in the Entry Criteria although it is a general requirement for most subjects that a grade 6 is required at GCSE if a student is to continue studying that subject at A level.
For our BTEC National and WJEC Applied Diploma courses, students are expected to achieve at least 5 grade 4s or above including either or both English Language and Mathematics. Additional subject requirements are listed in the Entry Criteria. The option of retaking GCSE Maths and English Language is available for students who do not achieve at least a grade 4 in year 11.
All courses help our students progress to university or degree apprenticeship pathways.
Students at Rooks Heath benefit from being able to choose from an ambitious post-16 curriculum. We currently offer 18 A level courses, 6 BTEC National level 3 courses and a WJEC Applied Diploma in Criminology. Students are provided with learning pathways that allow them to study A levels, BTEC/WJEC Applied Diplomas or a mixture of both.
