Year 11 (KS4)Summer 2022 Results
.
Once again, following our Year 13 results, we are extremely proud to celebrate the achievement of our Key Stage 4 students and pleased to report excellent outcomes for our Year 11 students who studied with us this summer 2022.
This year is particularly pleasing as, despite the unique experience managing learning during the pandemic and the cohort not experiencing any formal public exams since the SATs, as well as enduring several periods of interrupted learning, our students have been able to achieve in order to help them transition to the next stage in education or training.
Many of our students have joined Rooks Heath School at some point mid-way through Years 7 – 11 and even during Year 11 and we have ensured there are outcomes for every child. Many come to Rooks Heath from other parts of the UK or abroad with lower-than-average starting points. Our Year 11 cohort demonstrated incredible resilience throughout the disruption of their Key Stage 4 years and there are some wonderful outcomes to celebrate.
Here are some of the outstanding results we are able to celebrate this year for both GCSE and Vocational qualifications:

We were thrilled to see 47 grade 9s and 16 Distinction / Distinction * grades awarded to students. We also saw 60% of all outcomes of grades 4 and above at 60% and 45% at grade 5 and above. As a school that is ambitious for our students, 77% of our cohort were entered for the Ebacc qualification.
Mrs Manderson, Headteacher stated: “Given the amount of time lost in school, periods of remote learning, difficult staffing periods and uncertainty our staff and students worked incredibly hard and I am very pleased to see students achieving what they have. We are pleased to be able to offer places to students who will continue at Rooks Heath or move on to courses elsewhere and wish them the very best for their next steps.”
Mr Todd, Head of Year 11 stated: ‘Having been on this unique journey together with the Year Group, I am proud of them considering where they have come from and what they have been through. Some outstanding successes together with some real displays of resilience reflected in the results. I wish them all the best in their future academic endeavours and will miss them hugely.’
