Attendance
Please support your child with their education by making sure they attend school regularly.
Fixed Penalty Notices may be issued to parents of students with regular unauthorised absences.
At Rooks Heath we expect all our students to aim for a minimum of 95% attendance.
Students falling below 90% attendance may fall into the Persistent Absence Category and will be referred to Children's Services.

On most occasions it is sensible to consider whether, although feeling a bit under the weather, is it possible to still go to school and learn? A missed day here and there adds up and will impact on attainment.
Research shows that 17 missed school days a year = 1 GCSE grade drop in achievement.
The main valid reasons for keeping your child at home are:
- He/she is too sick to be comfortable at school
- He/she might spread a contagious disease to other children
